In the 7th play minute Virgílio Neves came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Paulão Corrêa. 1-0. But to his dismay, Cauã Mineiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 13th minute of the match, Zeca Viana tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paulão Corrêa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some careless play in the Lakers FC defense, Virgílio Neves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulão Corrêa. The Lakers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulão Corrêa should have stopped the shot. Cauã Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oséas Capixaba charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oséas Capixaba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paulão Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Vinhas in the 36th minute of the match. Paulão Corrêa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cauã Mineiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-0 in the 38 minute of play. Caio Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Paulão Corrêa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgílio Neves in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Lakers FC booed when Vascão-ES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeca Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulão Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Rossi in the 55th minute of play. The Vascão-ES fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Vascão-ES's Virgílio Neves looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Vascão-ES's Cléber Castro got a free kick in the 59th minute. Valdemar Figueiredo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 65th minute. Lakers FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 69th minute, Cauã Mineiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulão Corrêa was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Vascão-ES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oséas Capixaba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1. Valdemar Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Arnaldo Totakoxe made a huge save. After 81 minutes, Virgílio Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vascão-ES and the Lakers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, Virgílio Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
