With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luan Vianna in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Conrado Pirani saved LOS BAIANOS from getting behind. Conrado Pirani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tinoco went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 10th minute, Gláuber Santana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LOS BAIANOS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 23 played minutes PIRANGI got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo da Cunha. Conrado Pirani came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by PIRANGI's Luan Vianna. But to his dismay, Luan Vianna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in PIRANGI's zone, Isaltino Zonta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrézinho Xavier came out of the goal and Isaltino Zonta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basílio Vianna during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Conrado Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonsinho Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafa Marquez made a kick off. The supporters of PIRANGI booed when LOS BAIANOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to PIRANGI getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Danilo Rocha hit a great ball. When LOS BAIANOS's Rafa Marquez in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Conrado Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conrado Pirani was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alberto Tinoco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 79 minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, one of LOS BAIANOS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Rafa Marquez hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, LOS BAIANOS's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tinoco came free, but Conrado Pirani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Basílio Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot. LOS BAIANOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Basílio Vianna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrézinho Xavier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
