Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Enio da Silveira started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Scorpions EC's goal looked a bit too open when Albertinho Luz came free, but Alfredinho Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 9 played minutes Nitero got a freekick which was hit by Valdomiro Veloso. Jailson Trancoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodolfo Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Luiz Fabiano Tróia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nitero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After some careless play in the Scorpions EC defense, Tales Schmidt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredinho Sampaio. The Scorpions EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredinho Sampaio should have stopped the shot. Scorpions EC's Zé Carlos Duarte was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 19th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. José Pedro Prestes hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Alfredinho Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Maria Soeiro in the 27th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Scorpions EC's goal looked a bit too open when José Maria Soeiro came free, but Alfredinho Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredinho Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Maria Soeiro in the 32nd minute of the match. If Jailson Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Nitero's zone, Jailson Trancoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Catarinense came out of the goal and Jailson Trancoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Scorpions EC's Alfredinho Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio da Silveira in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Nitero's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zé Carlos Duarte fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rodolfo Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Duarte in the 42nd minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jailson Trancoso made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Scorpions EC's Tadeu Ferreira got a free kick in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Scorpions EC's goal looked a bit too open when Enio da Silveira came free, but Alfredinho Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Tadeu Ferreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scorpions EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nitero the free kick. In the 63rd minute, Tadeu Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the game, Enio da Silveira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alfredinho Sampaio. Enio da Silveira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. 71 minutes into the match, Scorpions EC's goalkeeper Alfredinho Sampaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Maria Soeiro. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Alfredinho Sampaio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rodolfo Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Carlos Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Scorpions EC's Alfredinho Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio da Silveira in the 84th minute of play. In the 86thth minute of the game Enio da Silveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Scorpions EC's Alfredinho Sampaio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfredinho Sampaio made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Maria Soeiro in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio da Silveira in the 90th minute of play forced Scorpions EC's goalkeeper Alfredinho Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jailson Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Rodolfo Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Scorpions EC's goal looked a bit too open when Enio da Silveira came free, but Alfredinho Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th match minute, Scorpions EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Botelho to maneuver through the defense. Fabrício Paiva took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfredinho Sampaio. Scorpions EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
