An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Vaz in the 10th minute of play forced Santos's goalkeeper Giuseppe Vander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lauro Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The corner ended in Lauro Quirino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Buriti SS's Nelsinho da Cunha did a great save. After a rather tough play, Buriti SS's Alexandre Tepedino got a free kick in the 21st minute. Giuseppe Vander didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusébio Vaz went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Giuseppe Vander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício das Neves in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Humberto Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giuseppe Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Fabrício das Neves took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giuseppe Vander. Giuseppe Vander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 45 minutes into the match, Santos's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Vaz came free, but Giuseppe Vander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Breno da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Santos's Giuseppe Vander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Santos from getting a goal against them. After 62 played minutes Eusébio Vaz rounded Santos's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. Giuseppe Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Fabrício das Neves notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Santos's Giuseppe Vander. Giuseppe Vander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 70th minute, Fabrício das Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Buriti SS getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Alexandre Tepedino hit a great ball. Lauro Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nelsinho da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafa Eger in the 77th minute of the match. Wilian Recife hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 83 played minutes Buriti SS got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Motta. Giuseppe Vander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Vaz in the 90th minute of play. Emanuel Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giuseppe Vander having to interfere. Humberto Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Giuseppe Vander came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by Buriti SS's Fabrício das Neves. But to his dismay, Fabrício das Neves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Buriti SS played a much better game than Santos and deserved their victory. The Santos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
