The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Alain Prost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. After 13 minutes of play, Wamser MZ's Alain Prost made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernesto Diniz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ernesto Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alain Prost, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ike Casillas made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Mário Abraão sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th match minute, ALFA center´s was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Abraão to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Alain Prost ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernesto Diniz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The audience was convinced that Alain Prost's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernesto Diniz was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in ALFA center´s's zone, Alain Prost stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Diniz came out of the goal and Alain Prost tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edu Breckenfeld's late challenge caught a Wamser MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edu Breckenfeld helped the player get up and apologised. Ernesto Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirilo Elodio, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If André Luís Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ALFA center´s's Ernesto Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alain Prost in the 43rd minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alain Prost made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Wamser MZ got a freekick which was hit by Maicon Cordeiro. Hermínio Simões struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Ernesto Diniz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wamser MZ. In the 55th minute, Edu Breckenfeld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alain Prost could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Ernesto Diniz made a huge save. Wamser MZ's attentive Maicon Cordeiro managed to snatch the ball when Ricardinho Carioca made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. Edu Breckenfeld kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Maicon Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Wamser MZ's Ernesto Diniz threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alain Prost, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ernesto Diniz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alain Prost in the 97th minute. Wamser MZ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
