In the 7th minute Adalberto Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilton Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Dida Porto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Nilton Messias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 11 played minutes Tabajara got a freekick which was hit by Jânio Tinoco. Nilton Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Massa in the 31st minute of play forced Porco Futebol clube's goalkeeper Nilton Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nilton Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalberto Alagoano in the 32nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adalberto Alagoano in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nilton Messias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adalberto Alagoano struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Nilton Messias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tabajara. After some careless play in the Porco Futebol clube defense, Zé Massa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nilton Messias. The Porco Futebol clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nilton Messias should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute Adalberto Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilton Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 minutes of play, Tabajara's Zé Massa made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilton Messias was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Tabajara were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 54 minutes, Otávio Ferreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Porco Futebol clube and the Tabajara players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Otávio Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Laerte Prestes from long distance, 55 minutes into the match, got Nilton Messias's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Zé Massa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Nilton Messias made a huge save. Nilton Messias made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Zé Massa sent off a good shot on target. Tabajara's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
