The tension between the Santos fc and the Canelada FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Canelada FC's Carlos Eduardo Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Augusto Prata in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, Dário Simões cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Carlos Eduardo Ferraz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Geovanni Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Di Xu Jun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Santos fc's goal looked a bit too open when Jochem Heesen came free, but Vânderson Donatello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vânderson Donatello made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Geovanni Pena sent off a good shot on target. 41 minutes into the match, Santos fc's goalkeeper Vânderson Donatello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geovanni Pena. Dário Simões hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jochem Heesen made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, José Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Eduardo Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute Geovanni Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vânderson Donatello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Di Xu Jun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jochem Heesen in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vânderson Donatello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute, João Augusto Prata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Jochem Heesen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vânderson Donatello was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Natã Sanches was shown his second yellow card after 65 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 66 played minutes Santos fc got a freekick which was hit by Natã Sanches. Álvaro de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 71st minute José Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vânderson Donatello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jochem Heesen struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Vânderson Donatello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canelada FC. During the 76th minute of the match João Augusto Prata completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave João Augusto Prata a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Santos fc getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. João Augusto Prata hit a great ball. Dé Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Di Xu Jun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Vânderson Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitinho de Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Jochem Heesen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santos fc succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Canelada FC had controlled the match.
