The supporters of Atininga booed when Cangaceiros PE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute of the match Leon Filipowski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danilo Veloso skillfully saved the ball. Laerte de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Gugu Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Cangaceiros PE getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Gugu Saldanha hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cangaceiros PE's zone, Rony Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Veloso came out of the goal and Rony Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 16 played minutes Cangaceiros PE got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Valladares. Adelino Azevedo took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Danilo Veloso. Danilo Veloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jorge Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anísio de Alcântara having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Atininga's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte de Amaral came free, but Anísio de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danilo Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Augusto Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The audience was convinced that Adelino Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danilo Veloso was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Danilo Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute of the match, Zé Augusto Lopez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Danilo Veloso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 60th minute of the match Atininga got a corner. Cangaceiros PE's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leon Filipowski ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Franklin Pereira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Danilo Veloso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cléber Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Anísio de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cangaceiros PE's Giovani Penha got a free kick in the 71st minute. Adelino Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Jorge Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cléber Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anísio de Alcântara having to interfere. Leon Filipowski's late challenge caught a Cangaceiros PE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Filipowski helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Atininga getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Leon Filipowski hit a great ball. Atininga's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
