Alan Lago showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. When Erasmo Pires came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Eagle Lyon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erasmo Pires couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Lokomotiva F.C. made a substitution. Filipe Leite replaced Jeremias Pirani. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romário Salgado to make the kick off. Eagle Lyon's Dráuzio Negri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Eagle Lyon from getting a goal against them. 61 minutes into the game, Téo de Sousa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eagle Lyon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lokomotiva F.C. the free kick. In the 89th minute, Erasmo Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, Eagle Lyon's Ronaldinho Arósio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ronaldinho Arósio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Eagle Lyon protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ronaldinho Arósio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 92nd minute, one of Eagle Lyon:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Eagle Lyon. Lokomotiva F.C. were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Eagle Lyon to leave the ground with a draw.
