If Tales Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oscar Maia during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Oscar Maia hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Tales Catarinense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juninho Tróia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 34 minutes of play, Biruleibe FC's Tales Catarinense made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juninho Tróia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tales Catarinense in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juninho Tróia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tales Catarinense to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Ibuaco got a freekick which was hit by Umberto Godoi. Tales Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Tróia having to interfere. Sá came free, but Juninho Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Biruleibe FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Amílton Zonta hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the game, Raphael Negri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Panait Balaeț was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ibuaco fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Juninho Tróia, was totally fooled by Biruleibe FC's Tales Catarinense, who 96 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the match was over Biruleibe FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ibuaco throughout the match.
