Juninho Tróia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Ibuaco getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 60th minute of the match Falcão de Toledo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdo Perez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Valdo Perez made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Ademar Rossi sent off a good shot on target. 66 minutes into the match, William Meireles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juninho Tróia. Ibuaco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that William Meireles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. In the 74th minute, Zézinho Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Falcão de Toledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. William Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Tróia having to interfere. Ademar Rossi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Valdo Perez made a huge save. Agostinho Quadros's late challenge caught a Dragões Azuis FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agostinho Quadros helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ibuaco's Agostinho Quadros got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 96th minute, Ademar Rossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Ibuaco supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ibuaco would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
