Sá recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ezequiel Ceresso might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Panait Balaeț. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ezequiel Ceresso ran back to his position shaking his head. Martelão FC's Arlindo Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tales Catarinense in the 26th minute of play. Arlindo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tales Catarinense in the 28th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Martelão FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tales Catarinense came free, but Arlindo Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Tales Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tales Catarinense sped through Martelão FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arlindo Santos. Arlindo Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tales Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Dorival Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Martelão FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Biruleibe FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tales Catarinense made a kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Biruleibe FC's Tales Catarinense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arlindo Santos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 71st minute Tales Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Biruleibe FC's D.J. Sá in the 75th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Arlindo Santos was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Martelão FC through an amazing save. A collision led to Martelão FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ricardo Zanette hit a great ball. Panait Balaeț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Fontes in the 83rd minute of play. Martelão FC's Arlindo Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by D.J. Sá in the 89th minute of play. After 89 played minutes Biruleibe FC got a freekick which was hit by D.J. Sá. When Dorival Fontes fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Martelão FC's protests and gave Dorival Fontes a yellow card for diving instead. Dorival Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Kauan de Castro in the 95th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Biruleibe FC's Oscar Maia. Biruleibe FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
