The goalkeeper, Laércio Alagoano, was totally fooled by Jaguaré FC's Selçuk Onbulak, who 42 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Selçuk Onbulak was slow to take the kick. During this time Jaguaré FC's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Thiago Diniz advanced and headed the ball into goal, 5-0 in the 66th minute. In the 71st minute, Manuel Couto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
