Spectators: 7495 (Terracing: 5622, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Laércio Koehler started the match with the kick off. Cacá Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laércio Koehler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cacá Prata was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Laércio Koehler capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Laércio Koehler really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Nildo Vargas made a great header on ZAMBRAZUX's corner, it was just that CRUZEIRO S.A's Cacá Prata managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 18th minute Laércio Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cacá Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulysses Simão came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by CRUZEIRO S.A's Durval Neiva. But to his dismay, Durval Neiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. ZAMBRAZUX's Ulysses Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval Neiva in the 26th minute of play. Ulysses Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Couto in the 28th minute of play. After 30 minutes of play, CRUZEIRO S.A's Durval Neiva made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulysses Simão was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute Dalmo Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulysses Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Couto in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, ZAMBRAZUX's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Couto came free, but Ulysses Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Nico de Mendonça sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and ZAMBRAZUX's Ulysses Simão didn't even have to move. ZAMBRAZUX's Ulysses Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Couto in the 42nd minute of play. Falcão Siqueira hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Durval Neiva made a precise shot to the right of Ulysses Simão. ZAMBRAZUX's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. The ZAMBRAZUX players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CRUZEIRO S.A were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Durval Neiva made a kick off. Cacá Prata didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laércio Koehler went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Dalmo Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot. CRUZEIRO S.A's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmo Schmidt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulysses Simão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ulysses Simão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ZAMBRAZUX's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Marcos Couto scored to the left of an out of position Ulysses Simão, making the score, 2-4. Ulysses Simão made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Marcos Couto sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Ulysses Simão managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when CRUZEIRO S.A's Dalmo Schmidt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. ZAMBRAZUX's Ulysses Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval Neiva in the 72nd minute of play. Cacá Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 80th minute Durval Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CRUZEIRO S.A's Marcos Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dalmo Schmidt got free with Ulysses Simão in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ulysses Simão was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Durval Neiva capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Durval Neiva really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. Nildo Vargas kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Ulysses Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durval Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nildo Vargas in the 94th minute of play forced CRUZEIRO S.A's goalkeeper Cacá Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulysses Simão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dalmo Schmidt in the 96th minute. The ZAMBRAZUX fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CRUZEIRO S.A were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
