In the 16th minute, Duda Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Penna's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Teles came free, but Jaime Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, THE dogs's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Gaúcho came free, but Jorginho de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes of play, Penna's Hugo Hoffmann made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorginho de Castro was left in no man's land by his defense there! THE dogs's Jorginho de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateus Gaúcho in the 32nd minute of play. Jorginho de Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fellipe da Costa's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes in the game, Toninho Romero fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jaime Moraes having to interfere. Hugo Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho de Castro having to interfere. In the 41stth minute of the game Mateus Gaúcho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but THE dogs's Jorginho de Castro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jorginho de Castro came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Penna's Mateus Gaúcho. But to his dismay, Mateus Gaúcho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Hugo Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toninho Romero to make the kick off. Hugo Hoffmann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorginho de Castro having to make a save. Zé Roberto Dias made in the 53rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by José Augusto Fontes. In the 55th minute Mateus Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Hoffmann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorginho de Castro having to make a save. The supporters of THE dogs booed when Penna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateus Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateus Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jorginho de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Toninho Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fellipe da Costa in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorginho de Castro saved THE dogs from getting behind. After 76 minutes of play, Penna's Fellipe da Costa made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorginho de Castro was left in no man's land by his defense there! 82 minutes into the match, Fellipe da Costa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jorginho de Castro, 0-6. In the 88th minute, Toninho Romero made a precise shot to the right of Jaime Moraes. Penna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6.
