Spectators: 7491 (Terracing: 5619, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Walmir Brodel kicked off to start the match. Denílson Sena charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denílson Sena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Uvaia FC booed when Gol De Ouro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. The nice shot from Walmir Brodel in the 5thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Cacá Costa had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. José Souto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cacá Costa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Walmir Brodel scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cacá Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Walmir Brodel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Cacá Costa made a huge save. After 31 played minutes Uvaia FC got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Furlan. After recieving a nice pass, Gol De Ouro's Remo Abraão tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Gonçalves in the 34th minute of play forced Uvaia FC's goalkeeper Anísio Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walmir Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hélder Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Anísio Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Hélder Gonçalves made the kick off in the second half. If Gilson Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gernando Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Walmir Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Costa having to interfere. Anísio Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egídio Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Uvaia FC's Anísio Pires got control of the ball when Denílson Sena tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilson Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remo Abraão during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Uvaia FC made a substitution. Horácio Goiano replaced Walmir Brodel. After 80 played minutes Uvaia FC got a freekick which was hit by Gilson Trigo. Egídio Breckenfeld could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Anísio Pires made a huge save. When Horácio Goiano came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Uvaia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horácio Goiano couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute, Alfredo Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uvaia FC's Anísio Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Gonçalves in the 90th minute of play. Anísio Pires made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denílson Sena in the 96th minute. Luís Fabiano de Salles hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Uvaia FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gol De Ouro for a fine match.
