After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, William Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tolek Bojanowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Corrêa in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Therezopolis booed when Lendários Boleiros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Roberto Corrêa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Pedro Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Prestes hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Emerson Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tolek Bojanowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emerson Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when William Leite stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Lendários Boleiros got a freekick which was hit by Zé Roberto Corrêa. With 55 minutes on the clock, Raúl Torres commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Therezopolis! The goalkeeper, Tolek Bojanowski, was totally fooled by Lendários Boleiros's Christiano Cardozo, who 57 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 72nd minute, Emerson Amaral fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tolek Bojanowski, passed just outside the right post. In the 73rd minute, Remo Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute Hélio Junior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Lendários Boleiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Roberto Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. If Horácio de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horácio de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Tolek Bojanowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
