Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Genílson Sabóia took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Genílson Sabóia notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SANTOS F.C's Frank Cavalcante. Frank Cavalcante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the SANTOS F.C defense, Celsinho de Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frank Cavalcante. The SANTOS F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Cavalcante should have stopped the shot. Celsinho de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Cavalcante having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Didi Castro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New England Patriots fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 25th minute, Celsinho de Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute, Robinho de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Cavalcante came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by New England Patriots's Mario Avramovski. But to his dismay, Mario Avramovski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. A collision led to New England Patriots getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Genílson Sabóia hit a great ball. The supporters of SANTOS F.C booed when New England Patriots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Augusto Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Juan Leme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SANTOS F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New England Patriots the free kick. A collision led to SANTOS F.C getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Juan Leme hit a great ball. When Celsinho de Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the New England Patriots fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celsinho de Mendonça couldn't finish the play. If Genílson Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 47 minutes on the clock, João Augusto Coelho commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 48th minute, João Augusto Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Leme stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Didi Castro made a precise shot to the right of Frank Cavalcante. SANTOS F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Celsinho de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Cavalcante having to interfere. A hard shot 65 in the game by Genílson Sabóia from a close distance when the talented Frank Cavalcante managed to make a qualified save. SANTOS F.C's players were relieved. After 69 minutes, Alexsandro Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SANTOS F.C and the New England Patriots players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alexsandro Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. João Augusto Pinho hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Gerrit Hardering made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Leme in the 73rd minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Genílson Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New England Patriots's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genílson Sabóia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Genílson Sabóia did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-7 to the left of a surprised Frank Cavalcante 78 minutes into the match. Didi Castro struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Frank Cavalcante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New England Patriots. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 0-8 when Genílson Sabóia sped through SANTOS F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Frank Cavalcante. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robinho de Amorim in the 92nd minute of play forced New England Patriots's goalkeeper Gerrit Hardering to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute of the match SANTOS F.C got a corner. New England Patriots's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Oséias Leão ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on SANTOS F.C's corner Oséias Leão fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gerrit Hardering quite easily take care of the ball. When the final whistle sounded New England Patriots left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SANTOS F.C.
