In the 8th minute César Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Fazenda Rio Grande FC's Arnaldo Ribeiro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Arnaldo Ribeiro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Fazenda Rio Grande FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Arnaldo Ribeiro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Fazenda Rio Grande FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ASPEN:s goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliu Doles in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Eger saved Fazenda Rio Grande FC from getting behind. After some careless play in the Fazenda Rio Grande FC defense, Eliu Doles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Eger. The Fazenda Rio Grande FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Eger should have stopped the shot. After having played for 30 minutes, Moisés Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ASPEN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moisés Teixeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from César Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliu Doles in the 33rd minute of play forced Fazenda Rio Grande FC's goalkeeper José Eger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fazenda Rio Grande FC's José Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Teixeira in the 35th minute of play. José Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. José Eger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moisés Teixeira in the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moisés Teixeira made a kick off. Deivid Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The supporters of ASPEN booed when Fazenda Rio Grande FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Washington Pena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fazenda Rio Grande FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ASPEN the free kick. In the 65th match minute, Fazenda Rio Grande FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Washington Pena to maneuver through the defense. César Macedo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but José Eger firmly grabbed it by the left post. 74 minutes into the match, Fazenda Rio Grande FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliu Doles came free, but José Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Belmiro Lago fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fazenda Rio Grande FC's protests and gave Belmiro Lago a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th match minute, Fazenda Rio Grande FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro Lago to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, ASPEN's Célio Tepedino tried to score from far away in the 81st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 84 played minutes Fazenda Rio Grande FC got a freekick which was hit by Wiliam Rodrigues. In the 85th match minute Célio Tepedino ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised José Eger. 0-3. César Macedo came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and José Eger could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in ASPEN's zone, Wiliam Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Queiroz came out of the goal and Wiliam Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Fazenda Rio Grande FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ASPEN were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
