Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Laerte Leite started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th match minute, Laras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandão Duarte to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes in the game, Luisão de Carvalho fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tião Loyola having to interfere. Tião Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisão de Carvalho in the 11th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Collares's zone, Luís Fernando Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rômulo Silveira came out of the goal and Luís Fernando Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Laras's Laerte Leite got a free kick in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Leite in the 18th minute of play forced Collares's goalkeeper Rômulo Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luisão de Carvalho in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tião Loyola saved Laras from getting behind. A collision led to Laras getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Richard Gerber hit a great ball. Laras's Tião Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão de Carvalho in the 24th minute of play. Luís Fernando Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Rômulo Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Luisão de Carvalho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tião Loyola. Luisão de Carvalho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

A hard shot 60 in the game by Luís Fernando Ribeiro from a close distance when the talented Rômulo Silveira managed to make a qualified save. Collares's players were relieved. If Laerte Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisão de Carvalho in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tião Loyola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 65 played minutes Laras got a freekick which was hit by Dedê Guerra. Laras's Tião Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Perez in the 87th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
