Juan Queiroz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 18 minutes, Jano Soares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clube de Regatas do Flame and the ASPEN players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Clube de Regatas do Flame was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jano Soares to maneuver through the defense. With 19 minutes on the clock, Ruy Alves commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The goalkeeper, Jaime dos Santos, was totally fooled by ASPEN's Célio Tepedino, who 21 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marquinhos Vasconcelos got free with Jaime dos Santos in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th match minute, Clube de Regatas do Flame was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luís Toscano to maneuver through the defense. Álvaro Fantini hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Pedro Luís Toscano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juan Queiroz. ASPEN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Luís Toscano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Jano Soares ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Eliu Doles took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Jaime dos Santos to make any attempt to save it. Marquinhos Vasconcelos charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marquinhos Vasconcelos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, Marquinhos Vasconcelos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Luís Toscano made a kick off. After some careless play in the Clube de Regatas do Flame defense, Eliu Doles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jaime dos Santos. The Clube de Regatas do Flame fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaime dos Santos should have stopped the shot. Jaime dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Jaime dos Santos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marquinhos Vasconcelos went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-2 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ASPEN had won after a very even match.
