Giovani Brodel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 4 minutes into the game, Álvaro Saraiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pauliceia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leme Chargers the free kick. After 7 played minutes Leme Chargers got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Camargo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão da Costa in the 15th minute of play forced Pauliceia's goalkeeper Giovani Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Alessandro Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Pauliceia's zone, Tostão da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovani Brodel came out of the goal and Tostão da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tostão da Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Tostão da Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giovani Brodel. Pauliceia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tostão da Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 27th minute Cristiano Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Pauliceia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 44 minutes into the match, Vitinho Ramos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maicon Vieira, 2-1. Maicon Vieira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas Soares in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vitinho Ramos to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vitinho Ramos in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maicon Vieira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lucas Soares took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maicon Vieira. Maicon Vieira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 57th minute, Lucas Soares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maicon Vieira was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Maicon Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho Ramos in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd match minute, Leme Chargers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Camargo to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Lucas Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maicon Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maicon Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Passos in the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Vitinho Ramos made a precise shot to the right of Maicon Vieira. Leme Chargers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. In the 79th minute, Lucas Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vitinho Ramos took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maicon Vieira. Maicon Vieira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. When Vitinho Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Pauliceia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitinho Ramos couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitinho Ramos in the 89th minute of play forced Leme Chargers's goalkeeper Maicon Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pauliceia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
