The S C CORINTHIANS PAULISTA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vito Saldanha should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Manfredo Peres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nildo Urbano. ITUMBIARA E.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manfredo Peres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Vito Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Renato Matos in the 18th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Dráusio Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nildo Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the ITUMBIARA E.C. defense, Dráusio Fernandez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nildo Urbano. The ITUMBIARA E.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nildo Urbano should have stopped the shot. Vito Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Maciel, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in ITUMBIARA E.C.'s zone, Waldemar Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nildo Urbano came out of the goal and Waldemar Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vito Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Maciel, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Eliseu Berger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Vito Saldanha made a huge save. S C CORINTHIANS PAULISTA's Vito Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Váldson Maciel in the 36th minute of play. Nildo Urbano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldemar Perez's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. If Paulo Renato Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 43 played minutes S C CORINTHIANS PAULISTA got a freekick which was hit by Breno Marquez. After a rather tough play, ITUMBIARA E.C.'s Paulo Renato Matos got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The wind increased when Váldson Maciel made the kick off in the second half. Manfredo Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nildo Urbano having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Paraense in the 54th minute of play forced S C CORINTHIANS PAULISTA's goalkeeper Vito Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseu Berger scored 2-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vito Saldanha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th minute, Paulo Renato Matos made a precise shot to the right of Vito Saldanha. S C CORINTHIANS PAULISTA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. 63 minutes into the match, S C CORINTHIANS PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Paraense came free, but Vito Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Váldson Maciel came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the ITUMBIARA E.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Váldson Maciel couldn't finish the play. Vito Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Váldson Maciel in the 69th minute of the match. Waldemar Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Nildo Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waldemar Perez in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nildo Urbano, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Manfredo Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldemar Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 81st minute, Waldemar Perez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nildo Urbano was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Waldemar Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot. S C CORINTHIANS PAULISTA's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldemar Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nildo Urbano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, S C CORINTHIANS PAULISTA's Daniel Rocha got a free kick in the 90th minute. Vito Saldanha came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by ITUMBIARA E.C.'s Pedrinho Peres. But to his dismay, Pedrinho Peres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. Nildo Urbano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The ITUMBIARA E.C. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
