In the 16th minute Celso Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson Paulista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albertinho Botelho made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Dênis Pernambucano sent off a good shot on target. 19 minutes into the match, Fantasialunatica's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Godoi came free, but Jefferson Paulista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dênis Pernambucano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute of the match, Dênis Pernambucano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Albertinho Botelho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 35th minute, Fantasialunatica's Samuel Pontes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Samuel Pontes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Fantasialunatica protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Samuel Pontes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 34th minute, one of Fantasialunatica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fantasialunatica. Dênis Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Albertinho Botelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Fantasialunatica booed when Esporte Clube FR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albertinho Botelho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dênis Pernambucano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 49 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilberto Marquez to strike the kick off in the second half. The Fantasialunatica fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Fantasialunatica's Dênis Pernambucano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Fantasialunatica's Jefferson Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Marquez in the 62nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Dênis Pernambucano sped through Esporte Clube FR's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Albertinho Botelho. Paulo José Paraense received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jefferson Paulista came out and tried to block the shot, but Paulo José Paraense slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 71st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dênis Pernambucano in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albertinho Botelho saved Esporte Clube FR from getting behind. Jefferson Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Dênis Pernambucano put it in 5-2 from a short distance just to the right of Albertinho Botelho. Gilberto Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Paulista having to interfere. Dênis Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fantasialunatica fully deserved thier win.
