Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Real-United-States's Ronaldinho Tepedino started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Romário Pires's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dadá Trevisan firmly grabbed it by the left post. João Vítor de Alcântara came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Real-United-States's Fabiano Linhares. But to his dismay, Fabiano Linhares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 9 minutes, Rodrigo Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real-United-States and the Caneleiros da Várzea players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th minute, Rodrigo Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabrício da Rocha struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Dadá Trevisan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caneleiros da Várzea. Fabiano Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. João Vítor de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romário Piress short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Dadá Trevisan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Real-United-States's zone, Fabrício da Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dadá Trevisan came out of the goal and Fabrício da Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caneleiros da Várzea's Manoel Palmeira got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Fabrício da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Rodrigo Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Real-United-States were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabrício da Rocha to make the kick off. If Romário Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Manoel Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Fabiano Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Real-United-States fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Linhares couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the game, Ronaldinho Tepedino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real-United-States's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caneleiros da Várzea the free kick. Dadá Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Fernando Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. When Carlos Fernando Paraíba fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caneleiros da Várzea's protests and gave Carlos Fernando Paraíba a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Real-United-States booed when Caneleiros da Várzea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Paraíba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dadá Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romário Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Real-United-States's Dadá Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Pires in the 71st minute of play. Fabrício da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Dadá Trevisan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Real-United-States got a freekick which was hit by José Vítor Guimarães. In the 74th minute Fabrício da Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dadá Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Fabrício da Rocha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dadá Trevisan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Romário Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Fabiano Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After recieving a nice pass, Caneleiros da Várzea's Júlio Guerra tried to score from far away in the 97th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Caneleiros da Várzea players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
