In the 39th minute of the match, Emerson Arósio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Válbson Hoffmann was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Válbson Hoffmann successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 83 minutes, Frédson Pimenta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deficit Capixaba and the LIGA3 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, Deficit Capixaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frédson Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. Válbson Hoffmann came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by LIGA3's Wilian Rezende. But to his dismay, Wilian Rezende quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. LIGA3 walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
