When Luís Gustavo Linares fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube Salvador City's protests and gave Luís Gustavo Linares a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Clube Salvador City booed when Formos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Rosado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilian de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Gustavo Linares, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Cipriano Rosado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Felippe Tavares came out and tried to block the shot, but Cipriano Rosado slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. After 14 played minutes Clube Salvador City got a freekick which was hit by Kiko Siqueira. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Salvador City's zone, Victor Esteves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felippe Tavares came out of the goal and Victor Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute Luís Gustavo Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilian de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felippe Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Munhoz in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Clube Salvador City booed when Formos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Buendia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Clube Salvador City's Luís Gustavo Linares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilian de Toledo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Formos FC's Wilian de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Mattos in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Cláudio Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cipriano Rosado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Felippe Tavares made a huge save. Clube Salvador City's Felippe Tavares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Clube Salvador City from getting a goal against them. Cipriano Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 44 minutes, Cipriano Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Formos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cipriano Rosado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Munhoz was the one to do the kick off. Samuel Munhoz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felippe Tavares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute Cipriano Rosado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felippe Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cipriano Rosado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felippe Tavares having to make a save. A collision led to Formos FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Samuel Munhoz hit a great ball. Clube Salvador City's Felippe Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Munhoz in the 66th minute of play. Felippe Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felippe Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Munhoz in the 69th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, Cipriano Rosado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Felippe Tavares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cipriano Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Formos FC fully deserved thier win.
