After a rather tough play, Gordura's Artur Barros got a free kick in the 13th minute. Alexsandro Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Mendes having to interfere. Duarte Pires hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Reynaldo Mendes came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by TETEIA FC's Nuno Vander. But to his dismay, Nuno Vander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Duarte Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to TETEIA FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Luiz Sá hit a great ball. Reynaldo Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexsandro Alvarenga was the one to do the kick off. Reynaldo Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexsandro Alvarenga's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Washington Costa hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, TETEIA FC's Edgar Castro got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind TETEIA FC's goalkeeper André Luís Teixeira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. TETEIA FC's Nuno Vander got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Duarte Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. The supporters of Gordura booed when TETEIA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílton Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Sílvio Luiz Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sílvio Luiz Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. André Luís Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. TETEIA FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
