Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Artur Barros started the match with the kick off. Gordura's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave COLORADO DA OLARIA the free kick. If César Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 17 minutes, César Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. COLORADO DA OLARIA's supporters crossed their fingers, but César Saldanha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the game, César Saldanha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Reynaldo Mendes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. César Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Mendes having to interfere. Artur Barros's late challenge caught a COLORADO DA OLARIA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artur Barros helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes Gordura got a freekick which was hit by Artur Barros. 27 minutes into the game, Zé Carlos Alagoano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. COLORADO DA OLARIA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gordura the free kick. After 27 played minutes COLORADO DA OLARIA got a freekick which was hit by Zé Carlos Alagoano. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mathias Velloso during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 29 minutes into the game, one of Gordura:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Reynaldo Mendes went to the wrong direction when Lenílson Coutinho was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Reynaldo Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeu de Salles in the 32nd minute of play. Romeu de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Mendes having to interfere. In the 36th minute Romeu de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When César Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the COLORADO DA OLARIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that César Saldanha couldn't finish the play. Reynaldo Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sílvio Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Mendes having to interfere. After the first half COLORADO DA OLARIA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romeu de Salles to make the kick off. With a little luck, Gordura's Reynaldo Mendes got control of the ball when César Saldanha tried to sneak it across the goal line. César Saldanha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reynaldo Mendes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. When César Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the COLORADO DA OLARIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that César Saldanha couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romeu de Salles in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reynaldo Mendes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gernando de Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gernando de Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lenílson Coutinho shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When Zé Carlos Alagoano was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. Zé Carlos Alagoano hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. If César Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inácio de Almeida struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Reynaldo Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for COLORADO DA OLARIA. With a little luck, Gordura's Reynaldo Mendes got control of the ball when César Saldanha tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Gordura getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Artur Barros hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Artur Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If César Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by César Saldanha got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. César Saldanha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Mendes made a huge save. COLORADO DA OLARIA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
