José Maria Neiva came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Leão da Estradinha's Luizinho Pontes. But to his dismay, Luizinho Pontes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Artur Dias charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur Dias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, La Academia Imortal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Dias to maneuver through the defense. Nilson Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the game, Geovani Leal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Krzysztof Dunajski. Geovani Leal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Márcio Mineiro's late challenge caught a Leão da Estradinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Márcio Mineiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, La Academia Imortal's Márcio Mineiro got a free kick in the 21st minute. The supporters of La Academia Imortal booed when Leão da Estradinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Krzysztof Dunajski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilson Netto in the 26th minute of play. Luizinho Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Maria Neiva having to interfere. After a rather tough play, La Academia Imortal's Márcio Mineiro got a free kick in the 30th minute. 37 minutes in the game Marquinhos Teixeira after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Krzysztof Dunajski. A very good opportunity. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nilson Netto made a kick off. If Nilson Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Paranaense made in the 62nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by La Academia Imortal's Geovani Leal. During the 66th minute of the match Artur Dias completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Artur Dias a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 67th minute, Artur Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Leão da Estradinha getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Raimundo da Silveira hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizinho Pontes in the 75th minute of play forced La Academia Imortal's goalkeeper José Maria Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, La Academia Imortal's goal looked a bit too open when Luizinho Pontes came free, but José Maria Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was beautiful to see La Academia Imortal's Marquinhos Teixeira in action when he in the 92nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 94thth minute of the game Luizinho Pontes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Academia Imortal's José Maria Neiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
