After a rather tough play, Padilha FC's Vicente Sá got a free kick in the 19th minute. Sílvio Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justo Eguntsenti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sílvio Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justo Eguntsenti, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Enrique Moraes hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 25thth minute of the game Justo Eguntsenti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Volta Redonda F. Clube's Sílvio Simões was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wannes Hemelaer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Clube's Albertinho Lima dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Volta Redonda F. Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chiquinho Nóbrega in the 49th minute. After taking down the ball on Volta Redonda F. Clube's corner Luís Paulo Vidal fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cristiano Seco quite easily take care of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cleiton Fernandes to strike the kick off in the second half. Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Justo Eguntsenti scored to the left of an out of position Sílvio Simões, making the score, 4-1. In the 72nd minute, Albertinho Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inácio Mandrak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Padilha FC defense, Enrique Moraes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Seco. The Padilha FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Seco should have stopped the shot. After 78 minutes, Enrique Moraes made it 6-1 with a short kick to the right side. Padilha FC's Cristiano Seco tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 81st minute, Cleiton Fernandes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Padilha FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. Justo Eguntsenti in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sílvio Simões, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
