The field was rather wet after several days of rain when César Tande took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mel Mel F C's Tiago Gabriel Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionisio Rik in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute, César Tande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Cerezo during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Independente F.C. Limeira booed when Mel Mel F C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. When Dionisio Rik fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Independente F.C. Limeira's protests and gave Dionisio Rik a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Independente F.C. Limeira's Dionisio Rik got a free kick in the 36th minute. Severo Dubardo made in the 39th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Pedro Luís do Valle immediately put the ball in play. 44 minutes in the game, César Tande dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Teixeira made a kick off. Frank Teixeira struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Tiago Gabriel Valladares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independente F.C. Limeira. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dionisio Rik in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiago Gabriel Valladares saved Mel Mel F C from getting behind. 63 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Independente F.C. Limeira's Dionisio Rik fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Tiago Gabriel Valladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionisio Rik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiago Gabriel Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionisio Rik in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Elias Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Mel Mel F C's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Abreu came free, but Tiago Gabriel Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Luís do Valle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiago Gabriel Valladares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After 93 played minutes Independente F.C. Limeira got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Abreu. 96 minutes into the match, Mel Mel F C's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luís do Valle came free, but Tiago Gabriel Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Independente F.C. Limeira's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
