In the 4th minute, William Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Fiori Arruda successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fiori Arruda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Murilo Neto went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Murilo Neto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fiori Arruda came out and tried to block the shot, but Murilo Neto slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Maracachita SS's zone, Murilo Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fiori Arruda came out of the goal and Murilo Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Murilo Neto got free with Fiori Arruda in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 26 played minutes E.C.Pelotas got a freekick which was hit by Ataulfo Macho. In the 29th minute of the game William Barbosa made a throw-in which Chiquinho Santana played forward. Murilo Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Fiori Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Maracachita SS's Fiori Arruda got control of the ball when Murilo Neto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38thth minute of the game Alfonso Leon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maracachita SS's Fiori Arruda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 39 played minutes E.C.Pelotas got a freekick which was hit by Nando Vides. If Alfonso Leon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murilo Neto might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fiori Arruda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Murilo Neto ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Alfonso Leon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Leon in the 56th minute of play forced Maracachita SS's goalkeeper Fiori Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfonso Leon in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fiori Arruda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Maracachita SS's zone, Murilo Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fiori Arruda came out of the goal and Murilo Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the match, Murilo Neto notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Maracachita SS's Fiori Arruda. Fiori Arruda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Erivaldo Furlan came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the E.C.Pelotas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erivaldo Furlan couldn't finish the play. If Murilo Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luke Modrić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 played minutes Maracachita SS got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Vides. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luke Modrić in the 89th minute of play forced Maracachita SS's goalkeeper Fiori Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olavo Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Maracachita SS's Fiori Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luke Modrić in the 90th minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Erivaldo Furlan heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Luke Modrić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Fiori Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. E.C.Pelotas were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Maracachita SS for a fine match.
