The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Eugênio Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. AD.MANTHIQUEIRA's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugênio Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcel dos Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th minute, José Ignacio Angulo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcel dos Santos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The supporters of Ewerton booed when AD.MANTHIQUEIRA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oğuzhan Kakisim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugênio Macedo struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Marcel dos Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AD.MANTHIQUEIRA. In the 25thth minute of the game José Ignacio Angulo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ewerton's Marcel dos Santos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Samuel da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enio Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Dário Leme might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcel dos Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dário Leme ran back to his position shaking his head. Samuel da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enio Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás de Amorim scored 1-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel da Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

AD.MANTHIQUEIRA made a substitution. Fernandinho Azevedo replaced Eugênio Macedo. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enio Sanches to make the kick off. Marcel dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Ignacio Angulo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute Tomás de Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Fernandinho Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AD.MANTHIQUEIRA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ewerton the free kick. 83 minutes into the game, Fernandinho Azevedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-7. Marcel dos Santos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fernandinho Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel dos Santos having to interfere. 98 minutes into the match, Dário Leme notched a goal, 1-9, to the right of Ewerton's Marcel dos Santos. Marcel dos Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. AD.MANTHIQUEIRA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
