The Xurupita FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Albertinho de Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mazinho Fernandez. HELVETIA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albertinho de Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Jacaré in the 22nd minute of play forced HELVETIA's goalkeeper Mazinho Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xurupita FC's Gustavo Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denílson Cunha in the 24th minute of play. Mazinho Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emerson Jacaré in the 25th minute of the match. Mazinho Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Ramón Valadares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Xurupita FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Emerson Jacaré struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Mazinho Fernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xurupita FC. 0-6 became the score in the 34th minute when Emerson Jacaré elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 40 minutes of play, Xurupita FC's Albertinho de Amaral made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mazinho Fernandez was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Xurupita FC's Emerson Jacaré in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye HELVETIA's goalie prevented a goal. HELVETIA's Mazinho Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho de Amaral in the 45th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emerson Jacaré made a kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Ramón Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xurupita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramón Valadares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th minute, Emerson Jacaré ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mazinho Fernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. Emerson Jacaré sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. HELVETIA's Mazinho Fernandez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save HELVETIA from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emerson Jacaré in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mazinho Fernandez saved HELVETIA from getting behind. Luís Fernando Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Luís Fernando Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Emerson Jacaré fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 65th minute, Ramón Valadares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mazinho Fernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. After some careless play in the HELVETIA defense, Ramón Valadares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mazinho Fernandez. The HELVETIA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mazinho Fernandez should have stopped the shot. HELVETIA's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Célio Maranhense 76 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-12. Xurupita FC's Lilian Vântu was substituted for Ramón Valadares. Mazinho Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho de Amaral in the 82nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the HELVETIA defense, Célio Maranhense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mazinho Fernandez. The HELVETIA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mazinho Fernandez should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho de Amaral in the 88th minute of play forced HELVETIA's goalkeeper Mazinho Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mazinho Fernandez came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Xurupita FC's Albertinho de Amaral. But to his dismay, Albertinho de Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-14. After having played for 93 minutes, Emerson Jacaré managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xurupita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emerson Jacaré was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emerson Jacaré was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 94th minute. Xurupita FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Xurupita FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
