The crowd rose to their feet as Bo-Erik Lidberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luís Gustavo Fernandes. That made the score 2-0 in the 9 minute of play. A collision led to Escorpios F. C. getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. André Sarmento hit a great ball. Márcio Queirós took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Gustavo Fernandes. Zé Carlos Fernandez in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luís Gustavo Fernandes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Luís Gustavo Fernandes came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Escorpios F. C.'s Márcio Queirós. But to his dismay, Márcio Queirós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. When Tizian Mutach came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Escorpios F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tizian Mutach couldn't finish the play. After 26 played minutes Ponte de Safena got a freekick which was hit by Agnaldo Alagoano. Luís Gustavo Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tizian Mutach in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Ponte de Safena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natanael Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Pedrão Coelho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-0 in the 36th playminute. Tizian Mutach's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Gustavo Fernandes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedrão Coelho made a kick off. Luís Gustavo Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Fernandez in the 51st minute of the match. 52 minutes into the match, Ponte de Safena's goal looked a bit too open when Tizian Mutach came free, but Luís Gustavo Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Tizian Mutach left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Escorpios F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Luís Gustavo Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bo-Erik Lidberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Ponte de Safena's Luís Gustavo Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tizian Mutach in the 85th minute of play. Luís Gustavo Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrão Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute Tizian Mutach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Gustavo Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Carlos Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Escorpios F. C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
