With his leg Augusto Demaria managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when A.D. Imperial's Antônio Ramalho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tormenta EC's goalkeeper Augusto Demaria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A.D. Imperial's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Clemente Massa in the 8th minute. Antônio Ramalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Augusto Demaria made a huge save. 12 minutes into the game, Tormenta EC's Magno Garcia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valeri Zabelin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 15 played minutes A.D. Imperial got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Massa. 16 minutes into the match, A.D. Imperial's goal looked a bit too open when Magno Garcia came free, but Valeri Zabelin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Tormenta EC's Magno Garcia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valeri Zabelin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 20 minutes into the game, Beto França cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Valeri Zabelin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, A.D. Imperial's Alexander Smith got a free kick in the 22nd minute. A.D. Imperial were furious when Zahir Sahnouni was red carded, 23 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for A.D. Imperial! Bernard Dyczkowski scored 0-4 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valeri Zabelin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto França in the 30th minute of play forced A.D. Imperial's goalkeeper Valeri Zabelin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dadá Maravilha came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the A.D. Imperial fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dadá Maravilha couldn't finish the play. Augusto Demaria made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Antônio Ramalho sent off a good shot on target. After 40 minutes, Magno Garcia made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. A.D. Imperial's Valeri Zabelin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47th match minute, A.D. Imperial was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Ramalho to maneuver through the defense.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Magno Garcia to strike the kick off in the second half. Valeri Zabelin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beto França in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valeri Zabelin saved A.D. Imperial from getting behind. A.D. Imperial's Valeri Zabelin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Garcia in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá Maravilha in the 66th minute of play forced Tormenta EC's goalkeeper Augusto Demaria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A.D. Imperial's Valeri Zabelin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto França in the 67th minute of play. Valeri Zabelin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Garcia in the 69th minute of play. Alexander Smith charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Smith the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to A.D. Imperial getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Alexander Smith hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Alexander Smith hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Magno Garcia took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Valeri Zabelin to make any attempt to save it. Valeri Zabelin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernard Dyczkowski in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Garcia in the 77th minute of play forced A.D. Imperial's goalkeeper Valeri Zabelin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th match minute, Tormenta EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casper Decloedt to maneuver through the defense. Valeri Zabelin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magno Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the match, Lenílson Carneiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valeri Zabelin. A.D. Imperial's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lenílson Carneiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dadá Maravilha in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augusto Demaria saved Tormenta EC from getting behind. A.D. Imperial's José Maria Pena was substituted for Antônio Ramalho. The supporters of Tormenta EC booed when A.D. Imperial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Róbson Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, A.D. Imperial's goalkeeper Valeri Zabelin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lenílson Carneiro. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tormenta EC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
