The supporters of Chaves do 8 FC booed when Motta Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joélson Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabricio Quiroga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christiano Guimarães. Motta Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Motta Futebol Clube's Oséias Carioca got a free kick in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabri Alvarez in the 28th minute of play forced Motta Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Christiano Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabri Alvarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 minutes of play, Chaves do 8 FC's Gabri Alvarez made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christiano Guimarães was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zé Carlos Baptista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christiano Guimarães having to make a save. Motta Futebol Clube's Christiano Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbson Moreira in the 46th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Motta Futebol Clube's zone, Gabri Alvarez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christiano Guimarães came out of the goal and Gabri Alvarez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oséias Carioca to strike the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Christiano Guimarães successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Oséias Carioca charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oséias Carioca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th match minute, Motta Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséias Carioca to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Christiano Guimarães managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Chaves do 8 FC's Gabri Alvarez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Oséias Carioca was shown his second yellow card after 62 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 62 played minutes Motta Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Oséias Carioca. With a little luck, Motta Futebol Clube's Christiano Guimarães got control of the ball when Gabri Alvarez tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 65 played minutes Motta Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor Prata. Róbson Moreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Carlos Baptista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Christiano Guimarães made a huge save. Christiano Guimarães made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Gabri Alvarez sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Diniz in the 76th minute of play forced Motta Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Christiano Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabri Alvarez took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christiano Guimarães. Christiano Guimarães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Christiano Guimarães made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Fabricio Quiroga sent off a good shot on target. 85 minutes into the game, Chaves do 8 FC's Zé Carlos Baptista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christiano Guimarães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. In the 88th minute, Cícero Ferraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the game, Fernando Motta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Motta Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chaves do 8 FC the free kick. In the 94th match minute, Motta Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Motta to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Motta Futebol Clube's zone, Gabri Alvarez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christiano Guimarães came out of the goal and Gabri Alvarez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chaves do 8 FC played a much better game than Motta Futebol Clube and deserved their victory. The Motta Futebol Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
