The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 4 minutes into the match, Vingadores F.C U23's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt Bouchard came free, but Gualter de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Damian Fetor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juliane Álvarez took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Damian Fetor. Damian Fetor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of FÊNIX F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vingadores F.C U23:s goal. 19 minutes into the game, Vingadores F.C U23's Juliane Álvarez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damian Fetor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After some careless play in the FÊNIX F.C. defense, Juliane Álvarez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damian Fetor. The FÊNIX F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Fetor should have stopped the shot. Juliane Álvarez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damian Fetor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Vingadores F.C U23 booed when FÊNIX F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauã Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juliane Álvarez in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damian Fetor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th match minute, FÊNIX F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Carlos Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Juliane Álvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Fetor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Pulisic kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute of the match FÊNIX F.C. got a corner. Vingadores F.C U23's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marquinhos Teixeira ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on FÊNIX F.C.'s corner Marquinhos Teixeira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gualter de Brito quite easily take care of the ball. If Marquinhos Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauro Luz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Vingadores F.C U23's Juliane Álvarez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damian Fetor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marquinhos Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FÊNIX F.C.'s Arthur Loureiro was substituted for Tiago Gabriel Damião. In the 60th minute Mauro Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 62 minutes Vingadores F.C U23's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marquinhos Teixeira who took care of the corner kick. Marquinhos Teixeira made a great header on FÊNIX F.C.'s corner, it was just that Vingadores F.C U23's Gualter de Brito managed to reach the ball for a save. When Christian Pulisic came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Vingadores F.C U23 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Pulisic couldn't finish the play. Vingadores F.C U23's Gualter de Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã Moreno in the 67th minute of play. Bebeto Romário struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Damian Fetor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vingadores F.C U23. FÊNIX F.C.'s Pedro Luís Pereira was substituted for João Carlos Medeiros. 71 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Damian Fetor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bebeto Romário. Damian Fetor was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bebeto Romário showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 72 minute of play. Bebeto Romário sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Vingadores F.C U23's Bebeto Romário dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. After 93 played minutes FÊNIX F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Marcinho Arce. Bebeto Romário did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Damian Fetor 95 minutes into the match. The Vingadores F.C U23 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vingadores F.C U23 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
