The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jacaresinho V.T.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corinthians the free kick. With a little luck, Jacaresinho V.T.'s Julian Bejrut got control of the ball when Elpidio Espiridion tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elpidio Espiridion in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julian Bejrut, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Corinthians were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Jacaresinho V.T.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rudolf Speed took the corner. The corner led Corinthians's Leopoldo Palmeira to fire away a dangerous shot which Julian Bejrut despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elpidio Espiridion got free with Julian Bejrut in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julian Bejrut was a little too slow when Elpidio Espiridion got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. Elpidio Espiridion's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julian Bejrut read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Corinthians's Chris Mas got a free kick in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Corinthians's Elpidio Espiridion sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julian Bejrut narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fred Royal kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Chris Mas hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. When Corinthians's Elpidio Espiridion in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jacaresinho V.T.'s goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Salgado in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaime Almeida saved Corinthians from getting behind. A nice corner shot did that Josué Viana got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jaime Almeida quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Elpidio Espiridion could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Julian Bejrut made a huge save. Elpidio Espiridion came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julian Bejrut could save by the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Elpidio Espiridion made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Jacaresinho V.T. booed when Corinthians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natã Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severino Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Espiridion in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julian Bejrut prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julian Bejrut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Espiridion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacaresinho V.T.'s Julian Bejrut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Espiridion in the 66th minute of play. Corinthians's Jaime Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Salgado in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Guilherme Pires from long distance, 73 minutes into the match, got Jaime Almeida's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Tales Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Almeida having to interfere. Julian Bejrut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Espiridion in the 80th minute of the match. Jacaresinho V.T.'s Guilherme Pires quite brazenly broke a throw-in by González Speed, made in the 81st minute of the game. After having played for 84 minutes, Elpidio Espiridion managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corinthians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elpidio Espiridion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute, Elpidio Espiridion ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julian Bejrut was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elpidio Espiridion in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julian Bejrut saved Jacaresinho V.T. from getting behind. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jacaresinho V.T. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Corinthians.
