Edvaldo Brasil came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by FÊNIX F.C.'s Bengt Bouchard. But to his dismay, Bengt Bouchard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Guilherme Paraense in the 5th minute of play forced FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Damian Fetor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Fetor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SAS's Edvaldo Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Bouchard in the 22nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Edgar Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. SAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Fetor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edvaldo Brasil came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by FÊNIX F.C.'s Mauro Luz. But to his dismay, Mauro Luz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Tiago Gabriel Damião hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Bengt Bouchard's late challenge caught a SAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bengt Bouchard helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FÊNIX F.C.'s Bengt Bouchard got a free kick in the 36th minute. After 39 played minutes FÊNIX F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Bouchard. With a little luck, FÊNIX F.C.'s Damian Fetor got control of the ball when Edgar Salles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edvaldo Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquinhos Teixeira in the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Guilherme Paraense in the 48th minute of play forced FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Damian Fetor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half FÊNIX F.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Luiz Guilherme Paraense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FÊNIX F.C.'s Damian Fetor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 53 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Guilherme Paraense came free, but Damian Fetor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute Agostinho Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Fetor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st match minute, SAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilmar de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. FÊNIX F.C.'s Kauã Moreno was substituted for Marquinhos Teixeira. A collision led to SAS getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Nilmar de Queiroz hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, Luiz Guilherme Paraense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damian Fetor. FÊNIX F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Guilherme Paraense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After 70 played minutes SAS got a freekick which was hit by Lauro Zanette. FÊNIX F.C. made a substitution. Genílson Ferraz replaced João Carlos Medeiros. After 75 minutes, Kauã Moreno made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. SAS's Edvaldo Brasil tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Bengt Bouchard put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Edvaldo Brasil. SAS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Mauro Luz scored to the left of an out of position Edvaldo Brasil, making the score, 1-5. The FÊNIX F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FÊNIX F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
