The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandre Vides during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of AÇAÍ SA booed when Vasco Lima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vasco Lima's Crescencio Veleña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Gustavo Pimenta in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Vasco Lima's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Papo came free, but Crescencio Veleña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabirel Jesus scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Crescencio Veleña, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Crescencio Veleña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquiles Papo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. A collision led to Vasco Lima getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Nilton da Silveira hit a great ball. 0-2 became the score in the 23rd minute when Gabirel Jesus elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Gabirel Jesus managed to get in a good position for a shot. AÇAÍ SA's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabirel Jesus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Crescencio Veleña breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the match, Vasco Lima's goal looked a bit too open when Gabirel Jesus came free, but Crescencio Veleña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabirel Jesus in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Crescencio Veleña prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Crescencio Veleña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabirel Jesus in the 32nd minute of play. Rodrigo Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Crescencio Veleña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Gustavo Pimenta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedrinho Pimenta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Hendrik-Jan Brugmans made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Szymon Dziewulski in the 41st minute of play forced AÇAÍ SA's goalkeeper Hendrik-Jan Brugmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AÇAÍ SA's Gabirel Jesus got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabirel Jesus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Crescencio Veleña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Vasco Lima players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AÇAÍ SA were winning 0-3.

Aquiles Papo took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Crescencio Veleña. Crescencio Veleña dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Luís Gustavo Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Crescencio Veleña having to interfere. After some careless play in the Vasco Lima defense, Luís Gustavo Pimenta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Crescencio Veleña. The Vasco Lima fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Crescencio Veleña should have stopped the shot. Vasco Lima's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Gabirel Jesus scored to the left of an out of position Crescencio Veleña, making the score, 0-6. After a defensive mix-up in Vasco Lima's zone, Luís Gustavo Pimenta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Crescencio Veleña came out of the goal and Luís Gustavo Pimenta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Gustavo Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Crescencio Veleña having to interfere. Crescencio Veleña stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabirel Jesus's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Crescencio Veleña stood somewhat misplaced when Gabirel Jesus came free in front of goal and shot 0-8 to the left of him in the 76 minute. In the 79th minute, Luís Gustavo Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AÇAÍ SA's Luís Gustavo Pimenta got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd match minute, AÇAÍ SA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabirel Jesus to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Gabirel Jesus kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Crescencio Veleña. That made the score 0-9 in the 84 minute of play. When Gorka Jordo fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AÇAÍ SA's protests and gave Gorka Jordo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute Válter Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hendrik-Jan Brugmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over AÇAÍ SA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vasco Lima throughout the match.
