Spectators: 7797 (Terracing: 5849, Seating: 1793, VIP seats: 155) GAÚCHO FC's Amancio Medero started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, José Paulo Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th match minute, GAÚCHO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adalberto Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. Amancio Medero might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Müjdat Semin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amancio Medero ran back to his position shaking his head. 16 minutes into the match, TheGazette's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Medero came free, but Müjdat Semin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Amancio Medero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Müjdat Semin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Müjdat Semin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amancio Medero's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 27th minute of the match GAÚCHO FC got a corner. TheGazette's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lando Guazo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Amancio Medero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Müjdat Semin having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Amancio Medero made a precise shot to the right of Müjdat Semin. TheGazette's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Raí Seco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Földes in the 35th minute. After 35 minutes of play, TheGazette's Antal Földes made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raí Seco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amancio Medero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Müjdat Semin having to make a save. Müjdat Semin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Medero in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Gerson Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lando Guazo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The TheGazette players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. GAÚCHO FC were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antal Földes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. TheGazette's Müjdat Semin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save TheGazette from getting a goal against them. 59 minutes into the match, Amancio Medero dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Müjdat Semin, 1-4. Raí Seco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Félix in the 62nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amancio Medero got free with Müjdat Semin in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Lando Guazo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute GAÚCHO FC were awarded a corner. Lando Guazo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to GAÚCHO FC's Valério Netto getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 73rd match minute, TheGazette was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanni das Neves to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute of the match, Amancio Medero got a very nice opportunity to score, but Müjdat Semin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 75th minute Gerson Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raí Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th match minute, GAÚCHO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lando Guazo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Medero in the 79th minute of play forced TheGazette's goalkeeper Müjdat Semin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 minutes, José Paulo Pinheiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TheGazette and the GAÚCHO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to TheGazette getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. José Paulo Pinheiro hit a great ball. TheGazette's Müjdat Semin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Maria de Salles in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Geovanni Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. TheGazette's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovanni Félix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raí Seco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. TheGazette's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Amancio Medero scored to the left of an out of position Müjdat Semin, making the score, 1-5. If Antal Földes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. GAÚCHO FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
