Leopoldo Tavares started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Gabriel Delassus could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which Frederico de Queirós however easily saved by the left post. After taking down the ball on Ribeirão das Neves EC MG's corner Emanuel Vigil fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Frederico de Queirós quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Tribos 4EVER's Frederico de Queirós got control of the ball when Emanuel Vigil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frederico de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarcisio Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the game, Gabriel Delassus recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Frederico de Queirós. Gabriel Delassus showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Barra Gol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Tavares in the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Gabriel Delassus got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Barra Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Tavares in the 40th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Peter Paul Crouch to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Tribos 4EVER's zone, Peter Paul Crouch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederico de Queirós came out of the goal and Peter Paul Crouch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Ribeirão das Neves EC MG's Cafu de Andrade got a free kick in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Delassus in the 64th minute of play forced Tribos 4EVER's goalkeeper Frederico de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barra Gol made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Vivaldo Sampaio sent off a good shot on target. Frederico de Queirós stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Vigil's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Gabriel Delassus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Frederico de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vivaldo Sampaio got free with Barra Gol in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tribos 4EVER made a substitution. Edinho Alcântara replaced Leopoldo Tavares.
