Thanks to some nice moves Peter Paul Crouch could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which André Luiz Quirino however easily saved by the left post. André Luiz Quirino made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Peter Paul Crouch sent off a good shot on target. Gabriel Delassus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but André Luiz Quirino made a huge save. 36 minutes into the match, Taquaril SS's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Pinheiro came free, but André Luiz Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg André Luiz Quirino managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Ribeirão das Neves EC MG's Gabriel Delassus fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Ribeirão das Neves EC MG booed when Taquaril SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Paulo Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ribeirão das Neves EC MG's Peter Paul Crouch slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of André Luiz Quirino. That made the score 3-0 after 46 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The Ribeirão das Neves EC MG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 53rd minute, Peter Paul Crouch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Luiz Quirino was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Mateus Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 57 minutes of play, Ribeirão das Neves EC MG's Gabriel Delassus made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Luiz Quirino was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Emanuel Vigil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Azevedo in the 68th minute of play forced Ribeirão das Neves EC MG's goalkeeper Barra Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Taquaril SS's goalkeeper André Luiz Quirino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ribeirão das Neves EC MG had won after a very even match.
