Olimpia's Wambasther Navas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Faria in the 5th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gabi Orange's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wambasther Navas was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. 8 minutes into the game, Muqui FC's Murilo Eger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wambasther Navas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Murilo Eger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wambasther Navas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute of the match Muqui FC got a corner. Olimpia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mauro Eate ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Murilo Eger got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wambasther Navas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 16th minute, Narciso Faria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wambasther Navas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. A collision led to Olimpia getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Wilson do Nascimento hit a great ball. Wambasther Navas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Best Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Trancoso in the 28th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Gabi Orange managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muqui FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabi Orange was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wambasther Navas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wambasther Navas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wambasther Navas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Muqui FC's Narciso Faria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wasyl Lemiesz was the one to do the kick off. Avram Iordache hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Olimpia were furious when Deivid Barros was red carded, 52 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Olimpia! After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Gabi Orange managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muqui FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabi Orange was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wambasther Navas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 62 minutes, Oscar Trancoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olimpia and the Muqui FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Olimpia getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Oscar Trancoso hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Narciso Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muqui FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Narciso Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wambasther Navas was a little too slow when Gabi Orange got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 0-8. In the 87th minute, Muqui FC's Gabi Orange ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wambasther Navas. Wambasther Navas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. The audience was convinced that Gabi Orange's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wambasther Navas was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Faria got free with Wambasther Navas in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luiz Fernando de Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Wambasther Navas made a huge save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Muqui FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
