Shen Xun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thorben Grill in the 6th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabinho Pernambucano in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eskil Vester saved October 04 from getting behind. Emilio Cascajares made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 13thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Shen Xun would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. 13 minutes into the game, Emilio Cascajares lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Shen Xun. 17 minutes into the game, one of Encanto:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Thorben Grill walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 22 minutes into the match, Encanto's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Cascajares came free, but Shen Xun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabinho Pernambucano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eskil Vester read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Encanto's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Laércio Travassos in the 26th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of October 04's goalie and right to Fabinho Pernambucano. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. October 04's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Shen Xun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emilio Cascajares in the 31st minute. Emilio Cascajares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 36th minute Fabinho Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eskil Vester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabinho Pernambucano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eskil Vester read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when October 04's Thorben Grill in the 39th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Shen Xun was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Encanto through an amazing save. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Encanto's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aldis Krumholds was slow to take the kick. During this time October 04's players had a chance to rest. 46 minutes into the match, Encanto's goalkeeper Shen Xun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emilio Cascajares. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emilio Cascajares made a kick off. When Emilio Cascajares came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the October 04 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Cascajares couldn't finish the play. If Thorben Grill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, October 04's goal looked a bit too open when Fabinho Pernambucano came free, but Eskil Vester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Fabinho Pernambucano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eskil Vester was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Shen Xun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Cascajares, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Encanto's Shen Xun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thorben Grill in the 70th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Emilio Cascajares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shen Xun was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 83 minutes into the match, Emilio Cascajares notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Encanto's Shen Xun. Shen Xun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, October 04's Claudinei Custódio got a free kick in the 88th minute. Fabinho Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laércio Travassos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 95th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. October 04 had won after a very even match.
