Eskil Vester had in the 5thth minute some difficulties stopping Dagoberto Macedo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Giovani Paiva was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 7 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, one of Barretos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Barretos. Adalberto Loyola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eskil Vester read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Barretos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Macedo to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oswaldo Rosa in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eskil Vester saved October 04 from getting behind. Oswaldo Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eskil Vester having to interfere. Emilio Cascajares struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. José Augusto Damião didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for October 04. 33 minutes into the match, Emilio Cascajares dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of José Augusto Damião, 2-0. 37 minutes into the game, Emilio Cascajares recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of José Augusto Damião. Emilio Cascajares showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The supporters of Barretos booed when October 04 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldis Krumholds didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Alfredo Teti in the 49th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Eskil Vester's left hand side. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

October 04's Cai Yuan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jurand Grucza in the 56 minute of the game. 57 minutes into the game, Emilio Cascajares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. José Augusto Damião was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Adalberto Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Emilio Cascajares made a precise shot to the right of José Augusto Damião. Barretos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Emilio Cascajares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Augusto Damião having to make a save. In the 69thth minute of the game Emilio Cascajares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barretos's José Augusto Damião was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. October 04's Emilio Cascajares got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 79 played minutes October 04 got a freekick which was hit by Cai Yuan. 81 minutes into the game, Emilio Cascajares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. José Augusto Damião was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 84 minutes into the match, Barretos's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Cascajares came free, but José Augusto Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adalberto Loyola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eskil Vester read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play.
