Paulinho Breckenfeld was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jacinto Mazza might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ian Paranaense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacinto Mazza ran back to his position shaking his head. The Clube Atlético Lençoense players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Golden State Warriors were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Jacinto Mazza made the kick off in the second half. Golden State Warriors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Atlético Lençoense the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Golden State Warriors's zone, Jacinto Mazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Paranaense came out of the goal and Jacinto Mazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clube Atlético Lençoense's Paulinho Breckenfeld proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Clube Atlético Lençoense from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Golden State Warriors walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
