In the 18th minute Ricardo Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Ciceron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Robert Banciu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brusque FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gru Futebol Clube the free kick. In the 24th minute, Waldir Mandrak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isaac Ciceron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Banciu in the 26th minute of the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabiano Contaldi kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute of the match Sydney Dracena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristian Moreira skillfully saved the ball. After 41 minutes of play, Gru Futebol Clube's Waldir Mandrak made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Moreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Duarte dos Santos fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brusque FC's protests and gave Duarte dos Santos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th match minute, Brusque FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, Brusque FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Nunes came free, but Cristian Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Duarte dos Santos made a kick off. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gru Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Robert Banciu was slow to take the kick. During this time Brusque FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Brusque FC's corner Robert Banciu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Isaac Ciceron quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Gru Futebol Clube defense, Duarte dos Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isaac Ciceron. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gru Futebol Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
